Refined textures and special techniques lie at the heart of Caterina Lucchi’s research. The designer puts her passion for high-quality craftsmanship at the centre of her work to create bags which aim to be timeless must-have items in every woman’s wardrobe.
The impeccable and elaborately-detailed design of these bags accompanies women in their everyday life, thanks to the versatility of their shapes and the mix-matched patterns, which give life to ever-changing designs that are easy to pair: from the “wrinkled” effect on everyday bags (Masaccio line) to the Maori-tattoo-inspired laser detailing (Giotto line), both in warm hues, to the flower detailing applied to the Piero della Francesca models, crafted from lamé calfskin with a stingray print.
For every occasion, Caterina Lucchi’s bags enhance different techniques, leading to collections that always provide a wide choice of materials and patterns: from timeless patterns to lively ones, such as polka dots, Prince of Wales check and houndstooth, which cover the Raffaello line’s small-sized precious bags and shoppers. These accessories are aimed at women with a strong personality who do not want to go unnoticed.
The Bramante-Cavallino models, for example, crafted from non-garment-dyed calfskin paired with pony hair, are available in two versions: a more glamorous animal print, and a more classic laser detailed black reptile print.
A common characteristic of the bags from this line is a beetle-shaped charm made from a loop of cowhide, embellished with handmade stitching. This motif also appears on the flaps and the edges of many models from the Bramante line.
A warm-toned and sophisticated everyday style is what defines the Multimaterial Giotto line, characterized by the juxtaposition of different materials, which play with autumn colours and take inspiration from the intense shades of the forest and the equestrian world. The same can be found in the Caravaggio line, crafted from calfskin, cowhide and suede. Created with inserts made of wild reptile and crocodile leather, in brick red and mink brown, the Cimabue line is the most luxe line and features models for the day as well as for the night. For even more special occasions, sequins and gold and silver lamé details add a twist to small and large bags alike (Michelangelo line), crafted from suede.
Well-defined special flecks of light liven up the Veronese line, crafted from sheepskin and characterized by the special gold or silver metallic coating used as a treatment on the fur. It is a glamorous touch which appears both on shoppers for everyday use and clutches which are ideal for special occasions.
Last but not least, a delicate feather decoration embellishes the black calfskin bucket bags and small cross-body bags of the Piume line.
It is a collection which draws from the continuous research for the best types of leather and a know-how which is handed down and renewed season after season, for a style which never goes out of fashion.
